First Cabinet Meeting, July 2004
vsawsu.orgWasting no time, after the election in June, the new cabinet put their hands to work right away. First, there was a meeting held in July. This was the very first official get-together for this group. All cabinet members were nervous, but excited. President Nhựt Nguyễn (Chris) was on hand to greet everyone and to discuss issues and strategies.
After the general introduction, the center-stage issue was to brainstorm all ideas and see what everyone's expectation for this year was. Some cabinet members discussed the objectives, while others talked about how best to approach and accomplish them. The focus of discussion then shifted over to fund raising. This has always been the main factor for the VSA. Without adequate money, the VSA could do very little to accomplish its goals.
After the meeting, cabinet members stepped outside to take some pictures. Everyone gathered at the north side of Clinton Hall, near Ablah Library. It was a beautiful day, and the cabinet was looking toward a new and exciting year.
